Remove nuts - 8 - (3x).

Remove backing plate - 11 -.

Remove bolts - 9 - (3x).

-

Remove bolt - 10 -.

Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm (40 in.lb)

Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm (40 in.lb)

Use screwdriver to lift connector - 1 - for front passenger side airbag over retainer tab - 2 - and pull off connector in direction of -arrow 3 -.

NOTE:
-

After connecting battery, check vehicle equipment (radio, clock, power windows) as per Repair Manual and/or Owner's manual.

If the airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K75- signals a malfunction after assembling then the DTC memory must be erased and
checked again with VAG 1551 scan tool
