Unfasten quick-release fasteners -1-, remove bolts -2- and remove sound insulation.

Remove holder for sound insulation (arrows).

Note:  To avoid damage, do not kink decoupling element in front exhaust pipe by more than 10°.

Separate exhaust system at left clamp (left arrow).

-

Remove universal mount V.A.G 1359/2 from engine/transmission lifter V.A.G 1383A and place wooden block (arrow) on press tool instead.

-

Support rear crossmember using engine/transmission lifter V.A.G 1383

-

Remove bolts -1- and -2-, then bolts -3- and -4-.
