1. Passenger-side airbag unit

CAUTION:
-

Observe safety precautions for working on airbags.

-

Note the allocation of the airbag unit to the instrument panel

Removing:
-

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove glove compartment.

-

Disconnect harness connector behind airbag unit

CAUTION:  Harness connector - 5 - (red, 2-pin) to passenger-side airbag unit must not be disconnected under any circumstances.

Remove brace behind airbag unit.

-

Remove nut - 3 - (4x).

-

Remove airbag unit.

-

Place airbag unit on a suitable surface with impact padding facing up.

-

Installation:

CAUTION: Note the allocation of the airbag unit to the instrument panel

Install airbag unit.

-

Make sure connector behind airbag unit completely (audibly) engages

-

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION:  No person may be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

-

Connect battery ground (GND) strap.

Observe safety precautions after connecting battery.
