Removing

^

Before installing, lubricate area which makes contact with operating rod of slave cylinder with copper grease Z381351TE.

9 - Release bearing

^

Do not wash out; wipe clean only

^

Replace bearings if noisy

^

Servicing release bearing with glued plastic ring

^

Checking release bearing with mechanically attached plastic ring

^

Replace if groove worn on plastic ring is too deep

^

Retainer lugs on release bearing must engage in release lever

10 - Bolt, 24 Nm

Self-locking

Replace

11 - Leaf spring
12 - Bolt, 24 Nm

13 - Retaining piece

For guide sleeve

14 - Intermediate piece

Replace if damaged

15 - Transmission

Clutch release lever, removing and installing

Removing

-

Loosen bolt - 1 - and remove leaf spring - 2 -.

-

Remove clutch release lever - 3 - with release bearing.

-

Disengage retaining tabs of release bearing at release lever.

Installing

-

Before installing clutch release lever, apply a thin coat of copper grease Z381351TE to contact surface for operating rod of clutch slave cylinder.

-

Install clutch release lever - 3 - with release bearing onto guide sleeve.

-

Install leaf spring - 2 - and tighten new bolt - 1 - to 24 Nm.
