Circlip must engage audibly. Triple roller star must lie directly against circlip (zero gap).

Install circlip.
1 - Pliers (commercial type)

Press 70 grams of drive axle grease from repair kit into rear of triple roller joint.

Lightly grease rollers.
Make sure rollers are aligned straight.

Press joint body over triple roller star using a plastic hammer.
The illustration shows removal and assembly tool T40018 for drive axle AAR 3300 i.

Pack remaining quantity of grease into boot.

-

Make sure boot is properly seated on joint body.

-

Boot must make contact in the groove and the contour of the joint body.

Position joint body in center position. See min/max positions in illustration.

Use a screwdriver or similar to vent air into boot while bringing joint body into center position. - arrow -.
