Clutch Pedal Assembly: Description and Operation

Clutch Mechanism

CAUTION!
‹› Observe procedures for disconnecting battery.

‹› On vehicles equipped with telematics the telematics control unit must be switched to service mode before the battery terminals are

disconnected.

‹› Lubricate the various bearing and contact surfaces with Polycarbamide Grease (G 052 142 A2).

‹› Before working on pedal assembly, remove driver's side storage compartment. 

‹› Make sure that no brake fluid escapes into the footwell or into the plenum chamber or onto the transmission below. If this happens, these areas

must be cleaned thoroughly.

‹› When working in floor area, cover the carpet with a cloth to protect against any leaking brake fluid.
