Installing

Install in reverse order.

Removal and installation of left multifunction button is identical. 

Tiptronic Switch

Removing

-

In vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526). Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode,
Activating/Deactivating ] See: Cellular Phone/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics service mode.

Disconnect battery ground wire.

Follow safety precautions for airbag systems. See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions

Remove driver's airbag.

-

Disconnect trim ring from steering wheel.

-

Slide multifunction button - 2 - out of steering wheel in direction of arrow.

-

Turn button around.

-

Disconnect the connector - 2 - on the multifunction button - 1 -.
