Removing

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions with disconnecting battery. 

CAUTION!
Note assignment of airbag unit to instrument panel.

Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.

Remove the driver airbag unit:

Remove the steering wheel.

Remove storage compartment on driver's side. Refer to => [ Driver Side Storage Compartment, with and without Knee Bolster ] See: Utility

Remove instrument cluster.

Remove glove compartment. Refer to => [ Glove Compartment ] See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and Repair.

Remove center console:
