Remove brake caliper housing and lay to one side so that the weight of the brake caliper does not stress or damage the brake hose.

Take brake pads out of brake caliper housing or from brake carrier. 

Use methylated spirits to clean the brake caliper housing. 

Installing

-

Press the piston back into the caliper housing.

‹› Press the piston back into the cylinder with piston resetting tool (T10145), before inserting new brake pads. Draw off brake fluid from the

reservoir with a bleeder bottle before pressing piston back. Otherwise brake fluid which was used to top off brake fluid reservoir, may run out and
cause damage.

CAUTION!
Brake fluid is poisonous and must never be extracted by mouth using a hose!

Insert the brake pad with retaining spring and wear indicator into brake caliper housing (piston).
