Caliper Piston, C38

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Resetting & extracting tool (T10165)

‹› or Reset and screw out tool (3272)

‹› Plate (3272/1)

‹› Trim removal wedge (3409)

‹› Bleeder bottle

Removing

-

Extract the piston from the brake caliper housing by turning the knurled wheel counterclockwise.

‹› Install reset and screw out tool (3272) so that the collar is positioned against the piston.

‹› If the piston is difficult to move, use a 13 mm open end wrench on the flats - arrow A -.

Use trim removal wedge (3409) to remove the seal.

‹› When removing make sure that the hole of the cylinder is not damaged.
