Resetting the adjustment mechanism

Clamp the spring loaded hook in a vise.

Release the mechanism with a screwdriver - 2 -, at the same time pressing back second spring-loaded hook with another screwdriver.
Installing

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Install the center console extension.

Hand tighten both nuts - 1 -.
‹› The rear nut can be accessed through the ashtray opening, and the front one through a opening in the bottom of the storage compartment.

Align the parking brake cable so that it is in the middle of the recess for the center console.
