Depending on the world zone, North is permanently set in the interior rearview mirror via a magnetic field.

The compass directions N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W and NW are shown in the digital display.

A new interior rearview mirror or a mirror that has no had power for a long time must be recalibrated (nothing or a "C" appears in display).
