Return Ring with Slip Ring

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Special Screwdriver T8 (T40056)

Removing

-

Remove the driver airbag unit.

-

Remove the steering wheel.

-

Pull steering column all the way out and down. 

-

Remove the TORX bolts with the T8 screwdriver ( T40056)- 3 - and - 5 - as well as the hex socket head bolt - 4 -.

-

Tightening specification 1 Nm.

-

Disconnect upper steering column switch trim - 2 - from lower trim - 1 - and remove both parts.

When installing, guide upper trim into lower trim hooks, press both parts together and bolt.

Disconnect connector - 1 -.

-

Carefully release catch - arrows - and pull return spring with slip ring from steering column switches.
