Note assignment of airbag unit to instrument panel.

Install airbag unit.

Ensure connector behind airbag unit engages completely (audibly). Refer to => [ Disconnect Airbag Connector ]

Switch the ignition on.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect battery ground (GND) strap.

‹› Follow safety measures after connecting battery. 

‹› If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ( K75) shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle

Diagnostic, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A), cleared and then rechecked.

‹› Always replace after airbag has deployed.

‹› Remove passenger airbag unit

‹› Remove bolts - 4 - (Qty. 4).

‹› Tightening specification 9 Nm

‹› Always replace after airbag has deployed

‹› Always replace after airbag has deployed

‹› Always replace after airbag has deployed.

‹› Remove passenger airbag unit

Disconnect Airbag Connector
