Remove the Antilock Brake System (ABS) wheel speed sensor from the wheel bearing housing.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installing

Before installing the wheels speed sensor, install the sealing collar and coat the speed sensor all round with lubricating paste (G 000 650).

Install the ABS wheel speed sensor.

-

Clip the speed sensor wiring into the retainers and install the grommet into wheel housing.

Install the wheels and tires.

Turn the steering completely to the left and right and check the clearance of the speed sensor wire.

 Front axle rotor, checking/removing and installing

-

Remove the wheel and tire.

-

Remove the speed sensor from the wheel bearing housing.

-

Check the rotor for contamination and damage.

‹› If the rotor is damaged or dirty, remove the drive axle. If damaged, replace the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint together with rotor.

‹› The outer CV joint is supplied as a replacement part with the rotor.
