Ride Height Sensor: Description and Operation
Rear Suspension

Vehicle Level Sensor, with Automatic Headlight Vertical Aim Control

‹› General information. Refer to => [ Vehicle Level Sensor in Vehicles with Automatic Headlamp Vertical Aim Control ] See: Front Suspension. 

‹› Vehicle level sensor is available as replacement part only complete with coupling rod and upper and lower retaining plates. To remove it

completely, subframe must be removed.

‹› Replacing with subframe installed. Refer to => [ Vehicle Level Sensor ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Suspension.

‹› Headlamp Range Control Module (J431). Refer to => Lighting and Horns See: Lighting and Horns

1 - Combi-bolt

‹› 85 Nm plus an additional 90° turn

‹› Always replace

2 - Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76) or Right Rear Level Control System Sensor (G77)

‹› Complete with components

‹› Lever - arrow - must face toward center of vehicle 

‹› Replace in vehicle, refer to => [ Vehicle Level Sensor ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Suspension

‹› After replacing, perform headlamp basic setting.
