Attach the selector lever cable boot into the lower cover under the selector mechanism.

Move selector lever several times from "P" through " S".

‹› Shift mechanism and selector lever cable must have freedom of movement during this, if necessary, replace selector lever cable or service shift

mechanism. 

‹› Take care not to bend or kink selector lever cable.

Place selector lever in position "P".

Press selector shaft lever - 1 - on transmission completely toward rear - arrow - until parking lock engages. 

‹› When parking lock is engaged, it must not be possible to turn both front wheels in one direction at the same time.

Make sure that selector lever cable has been routed free of kinks and tension.

Carefully push the selector lever cable - 1 - onto the selector shaft lever ball head.
