Instructions only apply to stainless steel clamps.

Tightening hose clamp on outer joint

Position Cv Joint BCVT Clamp Tool (V.A.G 1682 ) as shown in illustration. Be sure that edges of clamping pliers are seated in corners - arrows
B - of hose clamp.

Tighten hose tie by turning spindle using a torque wrench (do not bend tensioning clamp). 

‹› Tightening Specifications 20 Nm.

‹› Use a torque wrench with an adjustment range of 5 to 50 Nm (for example Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)).

‹› Make sure that the spindle thread is not tight. If necessary lubricate with MOS 2 grease.

‹› If it does not move freely, e.g. due to dirt in thread, the required clamp tension will not be achieved at the specified torque.
