Pivot selector housing with selector rod and push rod downward and remove

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

‹› Seals and self-locking nuts must be replaced.

Mount the transmission shift lever - 2 - and tighten nut - 1 -. Tightening specification => [ (Item 6) Nut - 20 Nm ] See: Selector Rod, Connecting
Rod and Push Rod Assembly Overview.

Tighten push rod - 1 -. Tightening specification => [ (Item 10) Bolt, 40 Nm ] See: Selector Rod, Connecting Rod and Push Rod Assembly
Overview.

Tighten connecting rod - 2 -. Tightening specification => [ (Item 7) Bolt, 20 Nm ] See: Selector Rod, Connecting Rod and Push Rod Assembly
Overview.

Install tunnel crossmember. Refer to => [ Transmission Mount and Tunnel Crossmember Assembly Overview ] See: Transmission Mount/Service

Fasten driveshaft to transmission.

-

Reconnect exhaust system and ensure it is not under stress.

If equipped, install rear noise insulation.

Mount selector housing - arrows -. Tightening specification => [ (Item 18) Nut - 8 Nm ] See: Shift Lever and Shift Lever Bracket Assembly
