Armrest W/telephone, repairing ratchet mechanism

Condition: 

Ratchet mechanism in armrest does not hold armrest in fixed position (only applies to armrests with telephone).

Service

-

Remove telephone handset from armrest.

-

Remove armrest from seat back.

-

Remove telephone holder.

-

Remove screws from lower half of armrest and plastic tray (upper hinged part of armrest will also be removed).

-

Remove torx screws from ratchet mechanism, Part No. 441 898 141.

-

Remove ratchet mechanism.

-

Install replacement mechanism in reverse order of removal.

-

Pre-load tension on ratchet spring before installing armrest into seat back.
