operates the central locking system pump (unlocks all doors, trunk and fuel filler door)

disarms the alarm

switches on the interior lights

Interior light operation

The interior light operation is the same for the Audi 90, 100, S4 and V8.

With 4A0 862 257B pump

-

When locking the car with the key from the doors or trunk, the interior lights are switched off.

-

When unlocking the car with the key, the interior lights are not switched on.

With 4AO 862 257D pump

-

When locking the car with the key from the doors or trunk, the interior lights are switched off.

When unlocking the car from a door, the interior lights are switched on with one turn of the key.

When unlocking from the trunk, the interior lights will be switched on with two turns of the key

When using the infra-red remote control, the interior lights are switched off when locking the car and switched on when unlocking.
