Must be infinite ohms (open)

IF NOT or only when throttle is opened more than 10% of travel, CTP Switch adjustment is needed

 
CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

NOTE: ^ Adjusting the CTP Switch also adjusts the TP Potentiometer.

1.

Loosen both screws on the CTP Switch.

Closed Throttle Position Switch Adjustment

2.

Turn CTP switch in direction of arrow (see image) until stop is reached.

Throttle valve (throttle linkage) must not be moved

3.

Tighten CTP Switch mounting screws in this position.

6.

Check CTP Switch resistance readings again as outlined above in CTP SWITCH CHECK procedure.

4.

If specified resistance values cannot be obtained after adjusting, replace CTP Switch.
