Fuel Door Release Actuator: Service and Repair

Fuel Filler Door Unlock Motor

‹› Central locking functions electronically.

‹› Actuators in doors are integrated in the door lock and have 2 motors. 

‹› Actuators cannot be replaced separately.

‹› The first motor locks the door and the second motor locks the interior door mechanism (Safe function).

‹› Now, doors also can no longer be opened from the interior.

‹› After an accident in which the airbag deploys, the central locking system control module opens any doors which were locked.

‹› Central locking control module is located in right rear side panel.

Fuel filler door unlock motor (V 155)

‹› Removal:

-

Fuel filler door removed. Refer to => [ Replace the tank flap unit ] See: Service and Repair

Pull the comfort system central control module (J393) into the luggage compartment and and pull it forward.

-

Remove the fuel tank lid unlock motor (V 155) forward off the body flange and disconnect the electrical connector.
