Compressor Pulley: Description and Operation

Compressor Pulley

‹› At start of the production, 4 and 6 cylinder vehicles At start of production, compressors manufactured by "Denso" (type "6 SEU 14") were

installed. Depending on engine and period of production, compressors from other manufacturers or other versions may be installed at a later time.

‹› You can remove and reinstall the compressor on vehicles with 4 cylinders engine and 6 cylinder. The TDI engine can be removed and installed at

the bracket without opening the refrigerant lines. Refer to => [ A/C Compressor ] See: Service and Repair.

‹› Only on 6 cylinder vehicles On the FSI engine, the compressor can disconnected and removed from the bracket only if the refrigerant circuit is

open. Refer to => [ Compressor on Bracket ] See: Service and Repair.

‹› Only on 8 cylinder vehicles In the FSI engine, the compressor is driven by a driveshaft, which can be removed and replaced only if the compressor
