Tighten the two nuts - 2 - and - 3 - on the stud bolt - 1 - and insert the stud bolt in the mount - 5 - on the driver side A-pillar and tighten.

‹› The stud bolt must be installed completely and the collar of it must make contact with the mount on the A-pillar.

Tighten the left and right instrument panel central tube bolts and nuts.

Further installation is performed in reverse sequence of removal, but observe the following:

Install the steering column.

CAUTION!
Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (e.g. airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may
deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on. 

‹› If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
