Fuel Gauge Sender: Service and Repair

Fuel Level Sensor 1

Removing

Proceed as follows:

-

Observe safety precautions => [ Safety Precautions ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service Precautions/Vehicle
Damage Warnings/Safety Precautions/Fuel Supply System.

Observe rules for cleanliness => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service
Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Clean Working Conditions/Fuel Supply System.

‹› During installation, the cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.

-

Removing fuel delivery unit => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and
Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 4 - by pressing release - arrow -.

-

Cut through cable ties - 2 - and free up electrical connector.

-

Release retaining tabs - 1 - and - 3 - and remove fuel level sensor (G) upward.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

-

Insert fuel level sensor (G) in guides on fuel delivery unit and push down until it engages.

-

Connect electrical connector and make sure it engages.

Install fuel delivery unit => [ Installing ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Fuel
Delivery Unit while following the information on connecting the battery.
