Rotate the positioning motor - 1 - on the left headlamp clockwise and the one on the right headlamp counterclockwise.

-

Disengage positioning motor from headlamp housing.

‹› Positioning motor axle should not be disengaged from headlamp

-

Pull the adjusting motor - 1 - back gently until the motor axle can be removed from the headlamp light unit ball joint - 3 -.

‹› Axle pins are then in ball joint cut-outs - arrows -.

Remove the adjustment motor from the headlamp housing.

‹› Components are shown without headlamp housing to provide a better illustration. 

Installing

‹› Tightening specification, refer to => [ Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Cornering Light Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Bi-Xenon

Headlamps with Cornering Light Assembly Overview. 

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

Check whether ball joint - 3 - is inserted in headlamp light unit guide.

-

Pull headlamp light unit in headlamp housing toward back and hold it firmly.

-

Engage the adjusting motor axle pins in the ball joint.

‹› The axle pins must engage in cut-outs on ball joint - arrows  -.

Position the bayonet connection on the adjusting motor on the headlamp housing.

-

Engage the adjusting motors - 1 - by rotating counterclockwise on the left headlamp and clockwise on the right headlamp.
