‹› Oil collecting and extracting device (V.A.G 1782)
‹› Protective glasses
Procedure
‹› Gear oil temperature at approximately 20 °C (room temperature).
‹› Move the vehicle onto a 4-column lifting platform or over a work pit so it is completely level.
‹› Tightening specification. Refer to => [ Front Final Drive Assembly Overview ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic

‹› Rules of cleanliness for working on automatic transmissions. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service Precautions/Clean Working Conditions.
‹› The specified oil level must be maintained exactly; the transmission reacts very sensitively to over-filling.
‹› Observe disposal regulations.

Place Used Oil Collection and Extraction Device (V.A.G 1782) under transmission.
CAUTION!
Danger of eye injury.
‹› Wear protective goggles!

Remove inspection plug - arrow -.
‹› Specification: Oil level is correct when the front final drive is filled up to lower edge of oil filler hole.

Allow excess gear oil to drain if necessary.

Add gear oil if necessary until it runs out of the gear oil filler hole.
‹› Sealing plug with sealing ring must be replaced.
