Fuel Return Line: Service and Repair

Suction Line

Removing

Proceed as follows:

-

Observe safety precautions => [ Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Safety Precautions/Fuel Supply System.

Observe rules for cleanliness => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Clean Working
Conditions/Fuel Supply System.

Remove fuel delivery unit => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

Remove fuel level sensor 2 (G169) => [ Fuel Level Sensor 2 ] See: Fuel Tank/Fuel Gauge Sender/Service and Repair/Fuel Level Sensor 2.

Carefully remove fuel level sensor 2 (G169) - 3 - with suction line - 1 - from fuel tank opening.

‹› When removing, be sure not to bend floater arm of Fuel Level Sensor 2 (G169).

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 - by pressing release - arrow A -.

-

Press bracket together with needle nose pliers - B arrows - and remove suction line.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:
