Position the circuit board - 4 - for the seat occupied sensor - 2 - in the opening - 3 - in the seat cushion - 1 -.

Align the seat occupied sensor - 2 - on the seat upholstery - 1 - according to the markings - arrows  -.

CAUTION!
The new seat occupied sensor should be installed in the same location on the seat upholstery as the old seat occupied sensor.

Remove the protective film and bond the seat occupied sensor - 2 - firmly to the upholstery - 1 -.

Procedure for all seat versions:

Further installation is performed in reverse sequence of removal, but observe the following:

‹› Make sure the seat occupied sensor is not covered by the seat heater element heating coils.

‹› Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

CAUTION!
Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (e.g. airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may
deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on. 

‹› If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again.
