Remove the illumination ring - 1 - with the Socket Illumination (L42) from the center console storage compartment - 2 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Remove the support - 1 - on the Release Tool (T40148).

Slide the piston down and hold it in place.

Rotate the thumbwheel - 4 - on the Release Tool (T40148) counter-clockwise - arrow -. The release tabs - 2 - on the 12V Socket (U5) - 3 - will
loosen and Release Tool (T40148) can be removed.

Install the center console.
