Stabilizer Bar Coupling Rod

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Installation lubricant

Removing

-

Determine dimension - a - from center of wheel to lower edge of wheel housing before starting work while vehicle is resting on its wheels.

-

Place vehicle on a hoist.

-

Remove wheels.

CAUTION!
‹› Do not damage the paint on the stabilizer bar when removing and installing.

Remove bolt - 4 -.

-

Remove nut - 3 -, washer - 2 - and bolt - 1 -.

The stabilizer bar - 4 - is completely removed and installed with rubber bushings - 1 - and clamps - 3  -. Do not remove clamps and rubber bushings.
