Tighten coil spring using socket (VAS 6274/6). Tighten at same time using spring tensioning system (VAS 6274) and pneumatic/hydraulic foot
pump (VAS 6179).

Socket (VAS 6274/6)

CAUTION!
‹› When tightening, make sure the locking mechanism bolts do not lie on the pressure plate with pivot bearing (VAS 6274/10-1) stop.

‹› The pressure plate with lock (VAS 6274/10-2) locking device must not lie on the pressure plate with pivot bearing (VAS 6274/10-1)

stop.

Only tighten coil spring as far as marking - 1 -. The locking device - 2 - must face up.

When tightening using spindle - 3 -, make sure sleeve - 4 - does not slip out of pressure plate with pivot bearing (VAS 6274/10-1).

Release spring tensioning system (VAS 6274) and remove coil spring with tensioner.
