Flange Shaft Seals, Rear Final Drive Removed, Replacing

‹› The oil seals can be only be replaced with the final drive removed. 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Puller (T10037)

‹› Drift (VW 295)

‹› Driver (T40108)

‹› Sealing grease (G 052 128 A1)

Removing

Remove rear final drive. Refer to => [ Rear Final Drive ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Final Drive 0BC
(0B4A,0B2A,0B6A,0B5A Transmission)/Rear Final Drive. 

Remove right flange shaft.

Install the Puller (T10037) on the housing - arrow - and remove the flange shaft.

Remove left flanged shaft.

Install the Puller (T10037) on the housing - arrow - and remove the flange shaft.
