Pry out the seal at an angle.

CAUTION!
Make sure the shaft seal running surface on the drive pinion is not damaged.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:

Coat outer edge of the seal with axle oil.

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1).

Drive in new shaft seal as far as stop without tilting it.

Position the flange/driveshaft - B - on the drive pinion - A - so the marking - arrow - is aligned.
