Press bearing inner race from hub.

Pressing Wheel Hub into Wheel Bearing

Install special tools as shown in illustration.

1. Thrust disc (VW 412)

2. Thrust plate (VW 402)

3. Wheel hub

4. Ball bearing

5. Thrust plate (VW 401)

‹› The reworked surface on the wheel bearing outer race faces down.

CAUTION!
When installing or pressing in, make sure there is no dirt or contaminants between thrust plate (VW 401) - 5 - and ball bearing - 4 -.

Press wheel hub into wheel bearing.
