Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease (G 052 128 A1).

Pressing in flange shaft

If equipped, mount the vibration dampener. Tightening specification => [ (Item 11) Bolt ] See: Transfer Case/Service and Repair/0B4A
Transmission/Center Differential Housing Assembly Overview.

‹› The flange shaft ball bearing in installed.

Insert flange shaft.

‹› When installing, the sleeve (30 - 100) presses on the inner race of the ball bearing.

Position the flange shaft seal - arrow -.

Install the center differential and housing => [ Installing ] See: Transfer Case/Service and Repair/0B4A Transmission/Center Differential, with
Transmission Installed.
