Headlamp Washer Pump: Service and Repair

Headlamp Washer Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose Clamp Pliers (V.A.G 1921)

‹› Reservoir

Removing

-

Remove the washer fluid reservoir, refer to => [ Washer Fluid Reservoir ] See: Windshield Washer Reservoir/Service and Repair/Washer Fluid
Reservoir but only pull it out until the Headlamp Washer Pump (V11) is accessible.

Place a reservoir under the washer fluid reservoir.

Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 -.

Remove the washer fluid hose - 3 - from the Headlamp Washer Pump (V11).

‹› There may be a clip installed rather than a hose clamp.

Remove the Headlamp Washer Pump (V11) - item 2 - upward out of the washer fluid reservoir.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

‹› Secure all hose connections using standard hose clamps.

Check the sealing grommet for damage.

Install the washer fluid reservoir, refer to => [ Washer Fluid Reservoir ] See: Windshield Washer Reservoir/Service and Repair/Washer Fluid
Reservoir.
