Release bolts -1- for hydraulic fluid reservoir and swing to side.

Tightening torque 10 Nm

Use rubber grommet to align properly when installing.

Note: Cover engine compartment to make sure that brake fluid does not flow into it.

Disengage intake hose -1- from hose hose clamp and remove.

-

Remove brake lines -3- and -4-.

-

Seal brake lines and threaded holes using plugs from repair kit Part No. 1H0698311 A.

Unclip brake lines from holder.

-

Remove hex nut -2-.

-

Remove hex bolt from securing bracket.

-

Working from the engine compartment, lift the holder with the hydraulic unit and the hydraulic pump about 30 mm and take them out.

Installing 
Pay special attention to the following on installation:

Only remove sealing plugs on new hydraulic control unit when the corresponding brake line is about to be installed. Otherwise, brake fluid will
escape observe paint and corrosion protection measures.
