Correct any open/short circuit as necessary.

If no wiring malfunction is detected:

Replace Fuel Pump relay -J17-.

Checking actuation of fuel pump and components

Remove cover of fuses.

-

Remove fuses 28, 29 and 34.

-

Start output DTM. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Scan Tool Testing/With
Manufacturer's Scan Tool/Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)

Connect hand-held multimeter (voltage measurement range) between Ground and either left or right contact of following fuses (only fuse contact is
live).

Fuse No.

Specified value at left or right Contact

approx. battery voltage

approx. battery voltage

approx. battery voltage

If the specified values are not obtained: 

-

Check wiring connections.

If no wiring malfunction is detected:

Replace Fuel Pump (FP) relay -J17-.

Re-insert all removed fuses.
