Oil Cooler: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Cooler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Used Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)

Removing

-

Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Cooling System/Service and Repair/Procedures.

Remove generator..

-

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove air generator bracket.

-

Remove the coolant hoses - 2 - and - 7 - from the engine oil cooler.

-

Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Device (V.A.G 1782) under the engine.

-

Remove the bolts - 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 - and remove the engine oil cooler.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Replace O-rings.

‹› Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.
