Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Fresh Air Blower

Removing

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove the plenum chamber cover.

CAUTION!
Even when the engine is cold, both pump/valve unit valves can be hot. 

-

Remove the windshield wiper arm and cowl panel trim

-

If necessary, remove the dome brace (not present in all vehicles).

-

Remove the air intake unit upper cover => [ Air Intake Unit Upper Cover ] See: Air Duct/Service and Repair/Air Intake Unit Upper Cover. 

-

Remove the fresh air blower control module (J126) => [ Fresh Air Blower Control Module ] See: Control Module HVAC/Service and
Repair/Fresh Air Blower Control Module.

CAUTION!
The heat sink of the Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126) may be hot.

-

Disconnect the connectors - C -, - D - and -  F - at the various components.

-

Loosen the grommet - B - from the air intake unit housing and lay the wiring harness - A - aside.

-

Carefully loosen the connecting element - B - from the control motor - A - (e.g. with a screwdriver).
