Lay headliner on seats.
-
Disconnect electrical connection to gas generator - 6 - => [ Electrical connection on gas generator, disconnecting and connecting ].

Remove screws - 2 - on side curtain airbag - 1 - beginning at rear.
-
Remove screws - 5 - on gas generator - 6 -.
-
Unclip retainer strap - 4 - securing pins - 3 - from body => [ Unclip retaining strap with airbag securing pin and press ].
-
Disengage gas generator - 6 - with hooks on body => [ Disengaging and engaging gas generator ].

Remove head-level airbag - 1 - from vehicle.
‹› Installing
CAUTION!
Always follow side curtain airbag installation procedure.
‹› Replace self-locking nuts and screws when assembling.
‹› Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)

Engage gas generator - 6 - with hooks in body => [ Disengaging and engaging gas generator ].

Tighten screws - 5 - on gas generator - 6 -.

Press retaining strap - 4 - securing pins - 3 - in body => [ Unclip retaining strap with airbag securing pin and press ].

Tighten bolts - 2 - in - A -, - B -, - X - and - C to E -, - Y - sequence.

When connecting electrical connector to gas generator - 6 -, ensure this engages with a click on gas generator => [ Electrical connection on gas
generator, disconnecting and connecting ].

Install headliner => [ Headliner ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof Trim.
CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect battery ground strap.

Follow measures after connecting battery =>.
‹› If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and then checked
again.
