Caring For Pyrotechnic Belt Tensioners

Undeployed pyrotechnic components (such as airbags, seat belts, pyrotechnic battery components) must be disposed of in an orderly manner in
their original packaging, according to national legislation. If questions arise, contact the distributor or importer!

Pyrotechnic components deployed in an actual accident can be disposed of as industrial waste.

CAUTION:  This does not apply to belt tensioners that function according to the Wankel straffer principle. These are to be treated like
undeployed pyrotechnic components (such as airbags, seat belts, pyrotechnic battery components).

Reason: Workshop equipment cannot determine if Wankel straffer belt tensioners have deployed all pyrotechnic materials.
