Acceleration Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear Body Acceleration Sensor
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)
Removing
‹› The rear body acceleration sensor is located behind the left wheel housing trim near the upper shock absorber threaded connection.

Place vehicle on a hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Service and
Repair/Procedures/Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

Remove wheel covers, remove cover cap on light-alloy wheels (removal hook in vehicle tool kit).

Remove wheel.

Remove left rear wheel housing liner.

Disconnect connector - 1 -.
‹› Pay attention to the rear body acceleration sensor installation position.

Remove nuts - arrows - and the rear body acceleration sensor (G343) - 2 -.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
‹› The tip of the arrow - 3 - of the rear body acceleration sensor must point the driving direction.
