Seal steering gear using the locking bolt - 1 -.

Remove Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm dia. (3094) from suction and return lines.

Coat bulkhead boot contact surfaces with universal low-temperature grease.

Install bulkhead boots - 3 - and seal - 2 - loosely onto the steering column.

Bring steering wheel into the center position, then mount the universal joint with the bulkhead boot and seal onto the steering gear pinion.

Tighten bolt - 1 - for the universal joint => [ (Item 9) Bolt ] See: Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Steering Column

Mount bulkhead boot - 3 - onto the drive gear and insert it into the bulkhead.

Install seal - 2 - into bulkhead boot - 3 -
The markings - arrow A - and - arrow B - must point vertically downward.
