Trailing Arm: Service and Repair

Wheel bearing housing, wheel bearing unit, shock absorber for coil spring, assembly overview

1 - Eccentric washer

2 - Hex nut, 95 Nm

3 - Wheel bearing housing

4 - Ball bearing

Items 4 and 5 are installed only in vehicles with All Wheel Drive (AWD)

5 - Wheel hub

Items 5 and 4 are installed only in vehicles with All Wheel Drive (AWD)

6 - Wheel bearing/hub unit 

^

Complete wheel bearing unit is installed only in vehicles with Front Wheel Drive (FWD)

7 - Hex bolt, 200 Nm plus an additional 180° turn 

^

Always replace after removal

8 - Cover plate for brake disc

9 - Hex bolt

10 - Hex bolt, 85 Nm plus an additional 90° turn

Always replace after removal

11 - Tie rod

12 - Stone impact protection plate

Only installed in rough terrain suspension
