Draining and filling ATF after repairs 09E, 6 Speed AWD A/T

Work procedure

CAUTION!
^

Various types of ATF are available for this transmission. They are allocated by transmission code.

^

Only use the ATF available as a replacement part for the planetary gearing in automatic transmission 09E.

^

Other oils can cause malfunctions or transmission failure.

^

The ATF filler tool must be clean and the ATF must not be mixed with any other ATF oils!

Fill reservoir of ATF filler tool V.A.G. 1924 with ATF for automatic transmission 09E.

Secure reservoir of ATF filling system V.A.G. 1924 as high as possible on vehicle.

-

Loosen quick-release connectors - 2 - and remove rear sound insulation. 

-

Place old oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G. 1782 beneath transmission.

Wear eye protection.
