Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Counter-Holder Tool (10 - 201)

Removing

‹› Engine and transmission separated. Refer to => [ Engine and Transmission, Separating ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine and Transmission, Separating, engine on the Scissor Lift Platform (VAS 6131 A) or secured by the
engine/transmission holder, refer to => [ Engine, Securing to Engine and Transmission Holder ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service
and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine, Securing to Engine and Transmission Holder.

Insert Counterhold Tool (10 - 201) to loosen bolts.

-

Mark the installation position on drive plate to crankshaft using a felt-tip marker.

Remove drive plate.

-

Remove spacer washer behind.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

-

Install drive plate with spacer washer.

-

Secure with new bolts.

-

Reposition the Counterhold Tool (10 - 201) to tighten the bolts.
