Front Center Console, Assembly

Front center console, assembly 

 
CAUTION!  Obtain radio security code from customer before disconnecting battery Ground (GND) strap. Disconnect battery GND strap before
working on any part of electrical system.

Note:  It is possible to remove front center console without removing center section of dash panel.
 
 

1 -  Front center console

^  Rear center console must be removed before removing front center console
Removing:
- 

Unclip cover -15- and unscrew nut -16- located underneath

- 

Remove radio

- 

Pull out center air outlet -7- and unscrew bolts -13-

- 

Unclip trim plate -8- and unscrew bolts -3- located underneath

- 

Pull off knobs -10-, unscrew screws -9- and remove trim plate

- 

Unclip trim plate

- 

Unscrew bolts -6- and pull out ashtray

- 

Only loosen bolts -4-

- 

Lift out center console over gear lever at angle toward rear

2 -  Speed nut
3 -  Bolt

^  5.0 Nm (44 in lb) 

4 -  Bolt

^  5.0 Nm (44 in lb) 

5 -  Ashtray

^  Unscrew before removing center console

6 -  Bolt

^  3.5 Nm (35 in lb) 

7 -  Center air outlet

^  Pull out before removing center console

8 -  Switch mounting trim
9 -  Screw

^  1.5 Nm (18 in lb)
